Chrizmatic Events is organizing a short film-making competition open to college students, working professionals, and individuals of any age. The competition aims to showcase creativity in film while adhering to a set of rules to ensure respectful and high-quality content.
Rules and Guidelines:
- Films must not contain offensive language, hurt religious sentiments, or vulgarity.
- Entries are open to individuals of all age groups, including college students and working professionals.
- Registration fee: ₹1,000 per film.
- Early Bird Special: ₹800 per film if booked before November 10th 2024
- Limited Registrations.
Prices:
- Winning film gets 50000 cash prize
- Runner up film gets 25000 cash prize
Venue:
- NCPA (National Centre for the Performing Arts)
- St. Andrews Auditorium
- National College Auditorium
The final venue will be selected based on availability.
The Chrizmatic Events short film-making competition is designed to foster creativity and provide a platform for emerging filmmakers while ensuring content is respectful and appropriate. The event aims to be impactful in the creative community.
Categories:
- Open to all genres (e.g., drama, comedy, thriller, etc.)
General Rules:
- No vulgarity, obscene, or abusive language.
- Films must not exceed 20 minutes in length.
- Original content only no copyright infringement.
Competition Structure
Round 1: Video Submission
- Participants must submit their short film by the deadline.
Round 2: Judges and Jury Review
- Selected films will be evaluated by a panel of judges and a jury.
Round 3: Final Round
- Finalist films will be displayed or played in front of a live audience.
Registration:
- Registration fee: 1000 per short film.
- Payment must be completed by the registration deadline to secure entry.
Important Dates:
- Registration Deadline:23rd November
- Audition dates : 30th Nov & 1st Dec
- Finals: 8th December
Additional Notes:
- Participants must provide a brief synopsis of their film upon submission.
- All participants must be available for the final event.
- Judges’ decisions are final.
Submission of video: video format (e.g., MP4), length (e.g., 3-20minutes), and any one specific content (e.g. documentory, drama, romantic, horror etc ).
First Round:
- For the Video Submission the participants need to upload their videos to their Google Drive, and then attach the link in the registration form on our website.
- Registration’s last date to submit the video link is the 23rd of November.
- Please Provide detailed instructions like Name , category, Etc.
Second Round:
- (if shortlisted) shortlisted candidates will be informed via email or phone about their selection for the second round.
Final Selection
- Announcement will be made publicly of the selected participants for the finals. Participants will be communicated via email or phone, all participants will be kept updated daily.
Review Process
- Jury and judges will decide accordingly as per the selection criteria for evaluating auditions for a short film competition:
- Storytelling : Clarity, originality, and emotional impact of the narrative.
- Cinematography : Visual composition, lighting, and camera work quality.
- Direction : The filmmaker’s vision and ability to convey the story effectively.
- Editing : Pacing, continuity, and the overall flow of the film.
- Performance : Acting quality and how well actors embody their roles.
- Sound Design : Use of music, sound effects, and dialogue clarity.
- Production Quality : Overall professionalism, including set design and costuming.
- Theme and Message : Depth and relevance of the themes explored in the film.
- Innovation : Creativity and originality in concept and execution.
- Emotional Range: Ability to convey a wide range of emotions convincingly.
- Character Interpretation: Understanding and portrayal of the character’s traits and motivations.
- Authenticity: Naturalness in performance, ability to be believable in the role.
- Vocal Clarity: Clear speech and appropriate modulation for the character.
- Body Language: Use of gestures and movement to enhance the performance.
- Pacing and Timing: Control over delivery, including pauses and rhythm.
- Originality: Unique interpretation of the character or scene.
- Imagination: Ability to add personal flair or depth to the performance.
- Readiness: Familiarity with the material and overall preparedness.
- Attitude: Professional demeanour during auditions, including punctuality and respect for the process.
- Interaction: Ability to connect and interact effectively with other performers, if applicable.
- Suitability: Fit for the character in terms of appearance, age, and other specific traits required for the role.
- Production Quality: Quality of the video submission in terms of lighting, sound, and overall presentation.
Adherence to Guidelines: Following the submission format and length requirements.
Cancellation Policy:
- Force Majeure
- “The Company reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event in case of circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or other unforeseen events (“Force Majeure”). In such cases, the Company will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused to attendees.”
- Minimum Attendance
- “The Company reserves the right to cancel the event if the minimum number of participants or attendees is not met. In the event of such cancellation, all registered attendees will be notified within 5 days before the event, and any registration fees paid will be refunded in full.”
- DISCRETIONARY Event Changes
- “The Company reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or change the venue, date, or content of the event at its discretion. Attendees will be informed of any changes as soon as possible. In the event of cancellation, the Company will refund any fees paid but will not be liable for any additional costs or losses incurred by the attendee.”
- Cancellation by Organizer
- “The Company reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason, including but not limited to logistical, safety, or operational concerns. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be issued to all registered attendees. The Company will not be responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by attendees as a result of the cancellation.”
- Refund Limitation
- “In the event of cancellation, the Company’s liability is limited to the amount of the registration fee paid by the attendee. The Company will not be liable for any other expenses, including but not limited to travel and accommodation.”
THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO UPDATE, MODIFY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS POLICY AND TO UNDERTAKE AND EXECUTE ANY OTHER CHANGES DISCRETIONARILY AS DEEMED FIT.
